Slightly different from our usual expert interviews, but none the less a worthwhile listen!
This is an interview with Web Tech Club Member Mark Ridsell Smith where he tells his success story on Facebook, his blog and growing his list of potentially interested customers.
Starting from scratch just 6 months previous to the time of this recording, Mark’s Facebook page has exploded and he has been incredibly successful in not just attracting Likes, shares and comments … but also a massive growth in his mailing list (which if you have been a member of the Web Tech Club for a little while, you now how much I bang on about this!)

But, for most of you (and me included) adding a Facebook Badge is a good idea, especially to your blog where you are your most social.…
With Facebook being so huge, and having a number of different features and options it’s not surprising users wanting to market their small business on Facebook get confused!

So have you got yourself a Facebook Fan Page? Are you busy trying to get lots of people to Like your Page?
It’s tough isn’t it?
It’s easy to go at with hammer and tongs and find yourself focuses on nothing but your Fan Page for 2 weeks. Desperately telling, tweeting, emailing and blogging about your new Facebook home which only gets boring and monotonous … for you AND your potential clients.…

Gone went the default landing page and in came cover photos, tabs, pinning, milestones and, of course, the all-new timeline feature.
Of course – you have to make sense of all the new features on offer, but too many business owners are focusing on how to make their new page “pretty” and not understanding that they need to take advantage of the new way of Facebook marketing.…
It’s very easy to wonder whether setting up and managing a Facebook Fan Page is worth all the fuss. It takes time out of your working day to update and post on your wall. And it takes a lot of patience and commitment to keep on attracting more Fans over to Like your page.
This is why I was delighted that Emily Malleson from Morrck agreed to be interviewed. …
.“The What’s, Why’s and How’s of using Facebook to promote your business”
Video playback of the monthly live Web Tech Training Session from March 2011
PLEASE NOTE: Facebook has changed its layout a lot since this recording last year. If you are deadly serious about using Facebook in your marketing strategy, then this session is still worth listening to as much of what I cover is overall strategies, rather than detailed how-to set-up.…
