Members’ FAQ
Help! I’ve forgotten my password and can’t access the site. What can I do?
Just click the link “Forgotten your password?” at the bottom of the login box. This will automatically send you a new password, which you can change in your profile settings once you’ve logged in.
If the email does not arrive within 20 minutes, check your spam folder. Sometimes these emails get caught up here. If the email still has not arrived, email Cathy Maynard, the Web Tech Club Membership Co-ordinator, directly at Cathy@WebTechClub.com and she will be in touch with a new one within one working day (usually same day).
I’ve forgotten my username too, so can’t get a new password sent to me.
That’s OK. We can sort this out for you. Email Cathy Maynard, the Web Tech Club Membership Co-ordinator, directly at Cathy@WebTechClub.com explaining the situation. She will sort this out and send you your username and password details.
We aim to get back in touch within one working day (usually the same day!), but please bear with us if you get stuck over the weekend. We’ll be back in touch first thing on Monday.
Please do remember to either write down your login details or save the original email in a folder named “Logins” – this makes it easier when you forget ;o)
I can’t seem to login to the site and access any of the content or recordings.
See points raised above with regards to lost passwords and usernames. It could be that you have your caps lock on or missing a capital letter – usernames and passwords are case sensitive. For example if your username is JaneSmith, you must remember to add capital J and S. janesmith would not work.
Where do I find the recordings of previous Web Tech Training Sessions?
All Web Tech Training Sessions are recorded and made available on this page here: http://webtechclub.com/category/webinar-recordings/. You will receive an email after each live session to let you know when each one is live in your members’ area.
How do I access the live Web Tech Training Sessions?
Each month, you are invited to join Karen Skidmore live for a Web Tech Training Session. They are run as webinars, using the GoToWebinar platform. Each training session has its’ own unique registration link for you to access, so please go to the events page and click through to the event you wish to join.
On the night, click through on the unique access link that was sent you to via email. If this is your first time accessing a webinar such as this one, you will be asked to download a small piece of software to allow you to access the control panels. It only takes a moment, but it is recommended that you do this in plenty of time before the session starts. Remember to turn up the volume on your speakers or listen in via your VoIP headset.
Ask your questions and share your comments via the control panel in the top right hand corner of your screen.
What are the system requirements in order for me to join the live Web Tech Training Sessions?
For most of you, joining the live training sessions are pretty straightforward. When you register the first time, you will be asked to download a small piece of software that will enable you to access the web page.
If the joining system takes more than a few minutes, we would highly recommend you shut down your browser and start again.
All live sessions are run via the internet, so please do check your broadband connections. If you live in an area where your broadband is incredibly slow, you may be better off waiting for the recorded playback. You still have the opportunity to forward your questions before the session though, so you won’t miss out.

I’m not receiving any Web Tech Club Members’ emails. What can I do?
As a member, you should be receiving regular updates from us about the latest events and training sessions on offer. Plus we will let you know when new stuff has been added to the site to make sure you don’t miss a thing. If your emails aren’t arriving, please check your spam folder as occasionally emails can get caught up there. Then make sure you add our email addresses: Karen@CanDoCanBe.com and Karen@WebTechClub.com to your “safe” list – your contacts or whitelist.
If the emails are not in your spam folder, then please get in touch with Cathy Maynard at Cathy@WebTechClub.com and she will check to make sure you are on the right list.
I want to be able to pay my monthly membership via my credit card. Is this possible?
At the moment, the Web Tech Club offers safe and secure monthly payments via PayPal. Due to the need to add the CVV credit card security numbers from the back on your credit card, it is becoming harder and harder to ensure recurring payments work. So to ensure that you don’t find your membership unexpectedly cancelled and unable to access the members’ area when you want to, PayPal proves to be the safest and most secure way to offer a monthly payment plan.
I’ve loved being a member but I’ve put in to place all that I need to in to my business. How do I go about cancelling?
Of course, we are sorry to see you go, but delighted that you’ve got what you need out of the club. Email Cathy Maynard, the Web Tech Club Membership Co-ordinator, directly at Cathy@WebTechClub.com and she will be more than happy to sort this out for you. You will still have access to the site up until the end of the month you have paid, so don’t worry about leaving it to the last day.
I’ve joined but unfortunately the Web Tech Club is not for me. Can I get my money back?
Of course. If you’ve realised that the content here in the Web Tech Club is not right for you, then let us know as soon as possible. We are able to refund your first month’s membership , as long as you contact us before your first recurring payment is due. Get in touch with Cathy Maynard directly at Cathy@WebTechClub.com
I’ve got some feedback for you. How’s the best way of letting you know?
Any comments you have – good, bad or ugly! – are most welcome. If you find links that don’t work or videos that don’t play properly. Or even you just want to tell us how much you love what you see … fill in the contact form below and let us know.
